This site is definitely a work in progress! It is dedicated to all the Mettey's of this world, past and present. It is my hope that it will help connect all of us and give everyone a place where they can review Mettey Family research, share research, and share their family history and family stories. We knew in our youth that the Mettey's came to America from France, but like most families many generations remove from that event, we had only limited knowledge. Thanks to the research done by Joan Mettey, Joseph and Joan Mettey, and Charles Wyatt Sr. all  from the Cincinnati area, the Ohio branch of the Mettey family was able to locate the birthplace in France and the family of Henry Louis Mettey. We have also located two other brothers George Frederic Mettey and Frederic Constant Mettey who may have also immigrated to America. It is our hope to someday have all the Mettey's in the United States connected, along with all our Cousins in France and around the world.
